Conclusion
Harriet Tubman took it on as her right and responsibility to free her people from slavery. Harriet Tubman put her life at risk in order to help slaves gain their basic right to live freely, pursue life, liberty and happiness. She was one of the most important person in history because without her, slaves wouldn't have gained the courage to stand up to their "masters" which, allowed most slaves escape from slavery before the Civil War happened. Although Abraham Lincoln was probably the main reason slaves gained their freedom, Harriet Tubman helped slaves gained their freedom even if that means risking her life and the lives of her people. Even though Harriet Tubman wasn't able to free all slave from slavery herself, just the fact that she risked her own life to make a contribution to free her people makes her a hero to this very day.
